Jejemon Website

Please don't consider this entry as a hate entry, IT IS NOT, it is just a warning so beware ahead.

Jejemon website, something I encountered today (I am such a wonderer hehe) I found it really cute but then I learned its contents.

Instantly after the definition of the websites purpose I thought it was a horrible thing, but then again people see this website as for fun right?!
It should only be for fun and that is when it should be used.

It is actually really cute! I absolutely enjoyed just looking at the website! I am so glad that it is invented by the Filipinos. I have been to the country and they are all lovely people, I love the fact that they ask for blessing as a sign of respect towards the adults every time. They also call all adults they meet even if not blood related aunties and uncle (tito and tita).

But this website becomes a worry for the education department because something like this will decrease peoples vocabulary and make children do really bad in their spelling. I mean its good to talk and speak like a child with wrong syntax once in a while but people (Filipinos mostly) in this website seem to adore this website and makes it their life.

I mean I have to admit but it is damn cute!
Sure I am being so ridiculously annoying by using this website as a reason to why people have bad vocabulary and language structuring when me myself is not even that great in English right?
But kids in Philippines would love this website as soon as they see it, just like what happened to me.
Instead of us focusing on talking and writing better it seems everyone is becoming lazy with the technology invented.

I didn't even understand the survey questions!!! [BELOW]

Anyway I might be becoming like the language Nazi Jejemon people wants to piss off but I believe that this should be seen a hedonism relaxation for people not as an everyday sort of thing.

Like me someone who values speaking and articulation words properly and writing good english, I would just walk away from a website called Jejemon because I fear that it will become addictive and I might decrease my vocabulary, impair my grammar into fatal situation and impair my intermediate spelling skills.

I am glad that people in the Philippines are so creative but maybe this is not the best thing for people, I know people don't want boring things like learning maths or increasing vocabulary and crap (because I certainly don't). However this certainly does not help Filipino in a way, I know a lot of Filipino and most of them are relatively good in English. Just like Singaporean people they can speak English (with a little bit of an accent of course) as if they have been living long in an English base country.

Anyway that was all I wanted to say. I really loved the website, it was so cute and fancy. I just didn't like the purpose but I think its great that Filipino's are so creative about those things. I heard from a Filipino friend that they love cute and short abbreviated text messages. That is probably why every time I send a text to my friends I always have an 'XD' smiley attached to it, like a trademark.

Other than that I completely enjoyed the website, it was so colourful shame I didn't understand any of that jejemon language though. It felt as if I was learning a totally new language that I didn't need to use and it also gave me a flashback, back when I was trying to learn French (I just couldn't connect to it), most difficult thing I ever did.
